The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala and Recoginised by the government, vide order no. G.O (Ms) /No. 71/2004 H.Edn dated 30/6/2004 and the National Council for teacher Education Vide letter no. FKL/SEC/N/253/SRO/NCTE/2004/2005/900 the approved strength of the college is 100 in six subjects, English, Mathematics, Physical science, Natural science, Social science and Commerce.

The Routine
|
| Common assembly of students and staff will be held every morning for the presentation of “thought for the day” in addition for regular classroom instruction, they will be provided with a variety of participating learning activities like students union, tutorial system, assignment, symposia, seminars, art festival, literary activities, work experience, games sports, etc. |

Seminars related to subjects of educational and social relevance will be organized frequently. Such seminars are presented by experts, staff as well as students. The college organizes talks by distinguished personalities every week

Admission

| Admission is made open to qualified candidates irrespective of any discrimination. 50% of the seats are allotted on the basis of merit as per government norms where as 50% seats are filled by the management. |
